Renato Cariani resumes criticism of Chris Aceto (Ramon's Coach) after Ramon Dino's performance at Mr. Olympia Brazil 2024.
This weekend (10/20/2024), the “Acre Dinosaur” returned to compete and won on Brazilian soil. However, his presentation was not free from criticism.
During the broadcast of the competition, influencers Renato Cariani and Julio Balestrin did not mince words.
Renato Cariani vs. Ramon's coach
At Mr. Olympia 2024, there were high expectations for a new fight between Ramon Dino and Chris Bumstead. However, what was seen was Ramon sweating excessively during the competition previews and being left out.
At the time, Renato Cariani made harsh criticisms of Chris Aceto, Ramon's coach, which in turn was responded to by Aceto incisively.
The return of criticism
Exactly one week after the first clash, with Ramon now competing in Brazil, the scene repeated itself. The athlete returned to sweat on stage.
Although less and this did not prevent his victory, it was enough for Cariani to resume criticizing and provoking Ramon's trainer.
Renato Cariani's immediate reaction went viral, creating a divide in public opinion. However, the majority ended up agreeing that this problem, which had not occurred before, should not have happened again.
What could be causing this problem?
The causes of excessive sweating can be diverse, and experts from different areas have expressed their opinions, differing from each other.
However, Michael Daboul, an athlete and Ramon's rival in the Mr. Olympia, when watching last weekend's competition, presented his theory about what could be causing the problem, and this opinion quickly reached Dino's coach.
Daboul, who placed in the top 7 at the Mr. Olympia Classic, suggested the problem could be diet-related, saying:
I'm sure he's used to being on stage and getting nervous! That used to happen to me when I ate sugar before going on stage. Since I stopped, I barely sweat on stage. – And I saw Ramon always warming up with a donut in his hands. Maybe that should stop!? – I love Dino and I want him to be at his best, but sweating is definitely a big problem on stage.
Daboul's comment was widely accepted, and many people agreed that his theory could be correct. This idea soon reached the ears of Chris Aceto, Ramon Dino's coach.
Aceto participated in the podcast RxMuscle Dave Palumbo and responded to the criticism. He acknowledged that Michael's opinion may have some truth to it, but believes that the main cause was the high carbohydrate intake between the Mr. Olympia weigh-in and the competition previews.
According to Aceto, this may have caused low blood sugar, resulting in excessive sweating.
