Kevin Levrone, also known as “Maryland Muscle Machine”, was born on July 16, 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.

CONTINUES AFTER ADVERTISING

From an early age, he faced difficulties. At the age of 10, after the death of his father, he began to take an interest in bodybuilding as a way to isolate himself and deal with his pain.

After graduating from high school, Levrone started a small construction company. However, at the age of 24, he faced another tragedy: his mother was diagnosed with cancer.

He used training as an outlet, retreating to the gym whenever he needed to relieve his sadness.

Beginnings in Bodybuilding

In 1990, motivated by friends, Kevin entered the State Championships and won. In 1991, he won the US National Championships and became an IFBB professional.

From there, he began a successful career, participating in competitions such as the “Night of Champions”, “Arnold Classic” and “Mr. Olympia”. Levrone accumulated an impressive 21 medals on the IFBB circuit.

Career Transition and Breaks

In 2002, Kevin decided to put his career on hold to pursue music and moved to Los Angeles, where he tried to establish himself as a rock musician. Despite the move, rumors of his return to bodybuilding quickly surfaced. In July of that year, he officially announced that he would return to competition and refocus on bodybuilding.

Challenges and Injuries

Like many athletes, Kevin has suffered serious injuries, including a torn pectoral muscle and an inguinal hernia. The recovery was difficult, but he returned to competition after each break, showing impressive resilience.

Acting Career and New Hiatus

After his last competition in 2003, Kevin decided to focus on his acting career, studying under Allen Williams and Milton Katselas. He also operates two academies in Maryland and Baltimore and organizes the annual Levrone Classic, a charity competition in memory of his parents.
