Cyd Gillon, in an emotional announcement on social media, the 2024 Figure Olympia champion athlete, who has won eight consecutive titles, revealed that she is retiring from competition.

After winning Mr Olympia 2024 on Friday night (11) October 2024, in Las Vegas in the United States, the athlete announced her retirement.

In her message, she expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported her throughout her 18-year bodybuilding journey.

“We did it again!! Eight consecutive FIGURE OLYMPIA titles were just a dream, turned into goals and finally a reality. A huge thank you to everyone who supported me throughout these competitive decades,” wrote the athlete.

In addition to celebrating her achievements, she highlighted that this day marks the end of her “dynasty” in the category.

“I have done my best to represent this category and our sport in the best way possible. Now it is time to pass the baton,” he said.

The champion also expressed excitement to see who will take over the title of Figure Olympia Champion in the future, indicating that she is looking forward to the next generation of athletes.

“Now it’s time to close this chapter, have fun on the streets and enjoy my 30s with my friends, family and new opportunities that are arising,” he concluded.
